I'm Samantha and I love to skate. I also like to shake things up a bit

last year i made a toast to "good shows, good skate seshs, and good times".. and i got all of those in 2007... So now it's time to make a list of what I want in 2008..  i'm currently reading this book, "fabulosity" by kimora simmons, about obtaining your goals and such, and in the book it says to make lists about stuff you want to happen....  plus if you've ever read "the secret"(oh god that movie/book sucked), it said the same thing.....

What I Want In 2008
- I want to move to Los Angeles
- I want to get a car
- I want to get a skateboard sponsorship
- I want to get a stable job
- I want to make a lot of money, and actually save it in a bank account
- I want to do better with RSB, get sponsors for the site, interview more bands, and expand the staff.
- I want to get a boyfriend, who is a rocker or a skater
- I want to go to more shows
- I want to attend the x-games
- I want to meet my idol (coughbammargeracough)
- I want to learn how to snow board
- I want to lose weight
- I want to grow my hair
- I want to take a trip and go to famous skate parks: FDR skate park, DC/Rob Dyrdek skate plaza, Louisville Skate Park, Skateopia, Venice Beach...
- I want to stop biting my nails
most of all, i want to be happy.






so these are my goals for the new year.  resolutions are over rated.  if i were to pick a resolution for this year, it would be to not hate or be jealous of anyone.

I got woke up at 1, even though i went to bed at 5, because Rio wanted to bring me over an early x-mas present.... XD Rio was able to convince a side walk surfer to sell him their "rob & big" DC display carb board cutout..hahaha.. it was quite thoughtful of Rio to get me that, though it will probably give me nightmares...  lol.. as if my bedroom didn't look like a skateshop to begin with, i took the shoe boxes from my DC shoes and set them infront of the cut out.lol. (i'll post a picture tomorrow, if i can find the charger for my camera)

i didn't do anything particularly interesting today... i went and picked up my pay check from zumiez... and then i went to the movies to see "Walk Hard" (worst movie ever..it wasn't funny at all).


tomorrow i am going christmas shopping for friends.. and i'm not sure what else..

i really don't know what to say. i've been down lately. like always but a bit more hopeless than always. i'm sick of people saying it gets better. you know what? it doesn't, it just get worse.


i'm broke again. i think i may sell some of my clothes..i'm going to go through my closet... i'm almost positive i'm going to sell my white & purple rogue status gun show shirt, probably for $20 (which is a steal, because they cost about $50 new and i've only worn it like 5 times plus that color is sold out on rogue status's web site). i might sell some clandestine shirts, a american apparal dress, and some other stuff... so yeah..

one week ago i had $600 in my band account..... a Big Black Security "Do Work" t-shirt, a Metal Mullisha hoodie, a Rob Dyrdek skateboard, grip tape, a set of Speed Metal Bam Margera Wrecking Ball bearings, a fake wedding ring, Starbucks coffee traded for a poster, pair of brown DC Rob Dyrdek sneakers, Sushi dinner for 3, duck salad, scan tron & pencils, trapper hat, dinner at Pink Taco, and x-mas presents for my mom (flip flops, warm sockish boots, a mc lovin shirt, and a wino cd), later... and i'm broke..probably over drawn.... do i have some kind of spending problem or what.... i pretty much define shopaholic...though the average shopaholic isn't buying skateboard merchantdise for the most part.

 and to think i was going to try and lease a car... though i figured out the car i want would have been nine hundred a month.

what really sucks, is no Red Bull until next month probably.. because if i want Red Bull i have to pay for it myself.

not a whole lot of good has happened lately.. i am sick still... i don't have a job(i'd rather not talk about this).... and i've spent close to $400 in the last 5 days....my only bargain shop was the trade of a starbucks frapachino for a vinyl spy r&b poster.......and the "practicle" iteams i bought seemed to be a waste... my best spent thing was taking chelsea, jesse and i out for sushi on saturday.

today i woke up at 4:30am........ i took two tests for  "history of rock" at 9:30.... i'm done for this semester(or i will be when i finish a 4 page essay for hip-hop)....and i dont think i'm going to do it again.
after the test i went home and then went skating in down town. i explored the south side of the waterfront...there is this one building thats really trippy.. you go inside a shop, and you wind up in another shop and then another..... there are 24 shops that blend together in the building.... it waskind of surreal, i felt like i was in some trippy movie for some reason.  people in the shops kept asking "are you looking for something in particular"...how could i be if i don't even know what shop i'm in?
i had lunch in this resturaunt in that building, called Canal...i had duck salad at the bar, it was great.
after lunch i found this awesome little shop in the building next to it, that sells all those flashy bright colored sneakers, it also sells t's and hoodies...AND they're going to be getting BAPE in, in a few months.. woot...
I started to skate to the skate park.. which is quite a distance from where i was..... i got about two blocks from it when my mom called me saying she wanted me to go w/ her to the car dealership(more car probs again on a car thats only a year old)... so i said i'd meet her at the coffee bean..for some reason i thought the Coffee Bean was on Thomas, when it is in fact on Indian School... So i had to haul ass and skate 3 blocks in a time span of about 5 minutes.. i made it.
I endedup falling asleep in the car while waiting at the car dealorship... and that was kind of the end to my day.... other than stopping at the bank and finding out i had far less in my bank account than i had thought....
oh and then tonight i spent afew hours trying to track down this hoodie in white (it's pretty much impossible to find now.. let alone in a decent size):
i finally after like 2 or 3 hours of searching found one(on ebay.. why didn't i look there to begin with).... and i asked my mom if i should get one(i could only find a medium.. and i wear a small).. and she was like "DON'T BUY IT!"... and i was like "why did you get me one for x-mas" and she smirked......  it kind of annoyed me.. because she could have hinted that to me before i go and spend foreverXcore trying to hunt one down.. :-/           if there is not a white rogue status gun show hoodie under the x-mas tree, i am going to be utterly pissed.

RSB-Extreme.net is up, and RockstarBaby.net also has got a makeover....so both sites match...
i'm so excited about RSB extreme.. and remember if you want to cover your local scene for RSB or do news blogging for RSB or RSB extreme, let me knoooowww...

so.. i've decided to get back into doing RSB... infact i'm expanding.. i just purchased, and will be launching sometime in the next week or so, RSB-Extreme.net (which will go by the name of eXs.. which stands for extremeXsports).. an Action Sports version of RSB..


Now.. for RockstarBaby.net.. i want to have people do reviews of bands on their local scene... So if you live in a major or semi major city (it doesn't matter what country your in.. if your in Can, England, Aus, Finland, Norway, France, or Japan, it's even better..), and want to be a Local Scene reporter for RSB, let me know... by local scene, i mean actual local bands that don't have much recognition outside of your area.. local scene DOES NOT mean if you live in chicago to go cover a Fall Out Boy concert....moving on.. As a local scene reporter, i will have you make a list of all the local bands you want to do reviews of, and then i'll contact their people about getting you a press & photo pass, so you can do a show reviews and take pictures... if i like what you do, i may even let you do interviews....  
RockstarBaby.net... as always, is looking for people to post the latest rock news & gossip updates in the blog. ect..
we WILL be adding cd reviews and stuff soon (i have a pile of CD's that i need to get to)..

Now for RSB eXs, we're looking for people to blog about the latest goings on in the action sports world..this encludes Skateboarding, MotoX, BMX, Snowboarding, ect...   It's not going to be anything super super super sports related.. it'll probably be more like a celeb gossip blog geared towards action sports stuff.... probably geared more towards the teenybopper aspect of extreme sports(like stuff about people like shaun white, sheckler, bam, ect)....
We're hoping to do the same stuff we do with RSB, like interviews, cover events, ect....
