So i saw Gym Class Heroes in concert tonight.. ahhh fun timmeeesss.. NOT.

dude.. so i woke up at like 5:40 am.. after falling asleep to the Arma Angelus play list on my ipod(Arma Angelus = pete wentz screaming before fall out boy)... probably not the best thing for a good night sleep.... so i was uber excited when i woke up because Gym Class Heroes was today....Chelsea has contacted FBR and they said we could be on the guest list, but they never e-mailed Chelsea back.... But i was fine with that cuz tickets were only $16.... So i texted Cheslea to see if we were going to the show... She texted back that she was sick, an that the show was SOLD OUT..... two words that made me freak out... i'd been looking forward to this show for over a month..... so i called up the box office and it was infact sold out..... i thankfully had the brilliant idea to get scalped tickets... the girl at the box office said scalpers usually come out around 5pm.... Chelsea and i talked later and she was feeling better... she decided to call FBR to check to make sure we weren't on the guest list... after being put on hold for like half an hour she got ahold of the dude she talked to at FBR, and he was like "sorry it's too late for the guest list", and she was like "didn't you get the e-mail i sent back" and he was like "yes.. but it's too late"... :-S... so anyway Chelsea decided she didn't really feel like going, plus she ended up coming down with a feaver... so i called my friend Rio who was so excited and like more than happy to go as long as his friend could come with.... So i bought some scalped tickets(40 fucking dollars EACH... ahhhh) and met up with Rio & his friend for dinner and went to the venue... after being there a short time and finding out that GCH didn't come on until 10:15 Rio started complaining that he didn't want to stay and he wanted to leave... i was so fucking pissed because GCH are one of my FAVORITE bands... and once you leave there is NO RE-ENTRY... So Rio acted like a pain in the fucking ass and called my mom about how he wanted to leave... the long and short of it, Rio & his friend had Rio's dad pick them up, and my mom had to come down, find a scalper, get a ticket, and she hung out with me....and of corse my mom did NOT want to be at a rap concert espcially since she wasn't feeling well.


So anyway......The show..
GCH came on around 10:15 or so and didn't end until about qaurter to midnight... The show was good.. but i think they're far better on CD... they're not in any way "rock" aside from the fact they have live instruments...and their crowd was more of a rap concert crowd(virtually no teenies, to my surprise)...They playd a lot of songs from their first cd, which i thought sucked... and did a crappy cover of a Beach Boys song... When they played the stuff off their new cd, they were GREAT...i loved "Cupids Chokehold", "Seven Days", "The Queen And I", "Clothes Off", "Viva La White Girl", "On My Own Time", and "Scandalous Scholastics"... Travis talked a lot during the show.. infact i think he did as much talking as rapping.... he went on FAR FAR FAR too long about his having sex with his Spanish Teacher, he has to have spent the better part of 10 minutes telling the crowd about it(right before playing "Scandalous Scholastics").... And right before "Cupids Choke Hold" he talked about how he was sick of how in the past year "all these bands who wear too much make up, and write 3 albums about how the same girl treated the guy like shit" are making all this money. Which to me seemed like a total diss towards Pete Wentz..(my mom even agreed.. she brought it up when we were in the car after the show.. and was like "Was it me or was he dissing Pete Wentz?")....
The best and only really memorable part of the show was when Travis surprised the crowd by being in the audiance for "Clothes Off".. the final song.... haha i was able to push my way to Travis.. haha there were these two girls that were completely clinging to him, haha they had their arms around his waist.. i didn't do that, but i totally like grabbed onto his shirt.. it was radddd.....though i got his sweat on me. ick.

so anyway.. i got some pretty good pix, and video clips of "the queen and i" and "cupids chokehold"... i'll upload them tomorrow..

i just bought the new good charlotte album on itunes.. and i'm listening to it right now. and it's making me feel really emotional. i feel like i've come full circle.. haha it's hard to believe that when i was younger i used to be a little tom boy(haha deep down i still am a tom boy....girly girlness truely sucks) who dressed up like benji everyday....all i wanted was to be "punk rock"... i feel old. but tonight in a good way..

oh by the way the new good charlotte cd is actually pretty decent...

it's hard to enjoy GC's cd though knowing that Tony from MEST (mest and good charlotte went hand in hand back in the day.. and there used to be a rumor that Benji & Tony were engaged. LMFAO) is currently in prison for stabing a man to death on sunday... dude times change so much.. MEST was my FAVORITE band for the longest time....

but once again i'm happy it's 2007 and not 2002-2004....

To round up the retro pop/punk circle.. Avril Lavigne is coming out with a new cd soon.. and making a total ass out of herself.. and Simple Plan are in the studio but they sucked to begin with...

god it feels like so long ago that GC, Avril, MEST and SP were cool...True pop/punk... Todays pop/punk isn't the same... the people don't bother trying to even pretend their punk rock or dress the part... The bands now are musically more talented.. but their was something fun(or "cool" if you're like 13) about a guy who wore eyeliner tears with leopard hair.....


but i'm happy it's 2007, and that I don't think that Benji Madden, Tony Lovato, and David Dessrossier(sp?) are "hotties"...long live Pete Wentz.. hahah.. though i'm sure in a matter of years I'll have the same to say about him.... but what do i have to say about any of the these bands/people.. even though i never listen to them anymore, i still love their music..and i think i always will. Especially Good Charlotte, Avril, MEST and Blink-182... Without those bands i'd be a totally different person. Blink was the first rock band i got into liking. GC & Avril inspired me to wanna be a "rocker".. And MEST was the first rock show I ever went to.... Sure it's all just music.. but music can also be a lifestyle...


i don't know why but i feel some revilation type thing right now.. listening to this cd...it's wierd.. but yeah... tto quote CKY "as time goes by, drop me a line and tell me how the hell you are"

so my dad gave me $300 (well he actually gave me $400 but i've already spent like $60 of it. hahah.)...so i'm going to go and sign upf or T-Mobile and get a SideKick 3... WOOT! me=excited.

haha so Chelsea slept on my couch last night after the AP tour show... this morning when i woke up at like 1pm we were sitting in my dining room and talking about something and i forget why but i went and got "the boy with the thorn in his side" and Chelsea was reading it, and the Jesse came over and Chelsea was reading it to us, and in the book it talks about lighting dandelions on fire.. So later on when we were at the mall we were outside and they have yellow flowers and we picked some and tried lighting them on fire.. sadly they didn't light, so we put some in our hair.. and we came accross some Emo dudes and i was all like "do you know where i can find some dandelions?" and the one was like "no" and the other was all "heeeyy" (he totes liked me).. lmao.. i ended up screaming "emo boys!" at them several times, and the dude kept waving at me and made the call me sign.. it was hilair... i wish i had his number, i'd so call from a blocked number and be wierd...

oh yeah and chelsea somehow found pwentz's number online a long time ago, and she called today and left him a message.. it was funny but a bit stalkerish. 0_0

i've got the flu, i can barely breath.. so naturally i wake up with a text from Chelsea saying "wanna go to the concert tonigh?", so i log online, and Chelsea IM's me saying that Envy On The Coast replied to her e-mail and said we can interview the band for 30 minutes after their set... oh joy.. poor sick me is having to go to a concert.... oh and they're not even giving us free tickets.
